Monday Update

Hi all! Time for an update.

I'm currently about halfway through the first play, King Henry the 6th part 1. Now, from what I've heard, the first 5 plays I'm going to read are not up to Shakespeare's normal level of amazingness, and so far I somewhat agree, however, this is a good play so far!

It's a bit confusing, but I have to say I'm enjoying it. I've even seen a hint of the Shakespeare's own character in some of the dialogues and one specific character.

When I finish the play I'll post a synopsis.

Thanks for stopping by!

Information: Lets do this!

My name is Jacob Frankel, and I am challenging myself with what I like to call "The Bard Challenge."

This is something I have created as a way to motivate me to read the entire works of William Shakespeare before entering my senior year in High School. As of now, this gives me somewhere around 114 days, assuming School will begin around the 2nd of September.

I will be reading from "The Complete Works of William Shakespeare"

I plan to read from cover to cover, in order. The book goes chronologically from when each play was written, then moves to the poetry.

For those of you who love Shakespeare just as much as I do, or are looking for a way to enrich yourselves, I high suggest doing this Bard Challenge. Give yourself a deadline, and read all he wrote.

This post will serve as a progress tracker for just how well I'm doing. I'll be striking through each play as I finish it.

The Table of Contents is as follows:
